Learn to Paint a Flower.

It’s been two years since my online art classes were last offered and it’s time to do things a little differently. I’m offering a very limited number of classes designed for a small group so I can maintain the level of teaching I achieve in a bespoke one to one class. Many of my students know that in the past I’ve only offered one to one classes.

The group will be made up of 4-5 students and each class will run for 2 hours, from 10:30am to 12:30am UK GMT TIME.

There are two classes on offer. They have been designed to give you a good understanding of how to paint popular elements of Persian miniatures. One focuses on flowers and the other on blossom trees.

The Persian Flower

Almost every single Persian miniature you will see, will be decorated with flowers and plants of some sort. They could be small background additions or taller and bolder statements as part of the overall compositions of the miniature. Either way nature makes a strong appearance throughout all Persian miniatures.

The class will cover:

• Tracing and transferring the design over to final paper

• Painting the base layers of the leaves and flowers

• Adding details with fine brush work

• Learning how to shade with a traditional rendering method known as Pardakht

• Lastly you will learn and practice how to outline with a very fine brush
